Hydroseeding / Hydromulching
Hydroseeding is the preferred way to plant grass, or any other ground covering plant, over large areas. The hydroseeding process is also highly cost effective, making it a great option for large-scale projects.
Additionally, hydroseeding provides fast and uniform germination, superior erosion control, and peace of mind knowing that we use only non-toxic and 100% biodegradable products.

Erosion control is the process of preventing soil particles from being dislodged. This keeps soil disturbances on site to a minimum, reducing the need for extensive soil re-work. Additionally, erosion control minimizes the need to maintain sediment control.
Utilizing Profile’s GreenArmor System, we have mastered the art of keeping soil disturbances on site to a minimum.

Shoreline erosion is a natural process that happens as wind, rain, and natural water flow dislodge and carry away the sediment that makes up the shoreline. Our expertise in hydroseeding allows us to introduce ground covering vegetation along shorelines quickly, holding sediment in place and stopping erosion in its tracks. Learn about how hydroseeding can promote a healthy shoreline on our Waterbody Stabilization page.
Drill seeding utilizes a tractor with specialized equipment to uniformly create openings in the soil and plant seed. Given the right conditions, drill seeding can be an excellent cost-effective alternative to hydroseeding on large, open, level areas.
When the soil on your project site is of poor quality, it will make hydroseeding efforts harder than they need to be. We always recommend soil conditioning as a critical first step to ensure the success of your project. We also offer a free soil test so you can get the most bang for your buck.
